Jireh: A system for zero waste products
Furniture manufacturers in the UK create around 4.5M tonnes of sawdust that they widely pay to have removed or incinerate onsite with little benefit in warmer months. The opportunity of the Jireh system is to employ offsite and eventually onsite large scale and size binder jet 3D printing to make parts from the waste created making parts.
Bespoke 3D - Systems and digital tools to scale craft businesses
UK traditional craft businesses create 6B of value every year, however the nature of labour intensive, highly skilled and nuanced work makes it hard for these businesses to scale and many do not survive. The challenge of Bespoke 3D is to implement digital systems, machinery and tools (CAD, CAM, 3D Scanning and Engineering change management) to retain the craft feeling of the products but speed up production whilst centralising product manufacturing information in the business structures not the employees minds.
